How this started

A short, mostly true history of Clanker SMP.

December 9, 2025

Founded as a joke

nurssa spun up a Minecraft server as a bit — a joke aimed at his friend klanker. It was never supposed to be a real server.

The seasons after

The joke got out of hand

Word spread and more players joined. What started as a one-off prank kept surviving reset after reset, season after season.

Later that year

Mi14s comes on as owner

After enough seasons of holding the server together, Mi14s was brought on as a second owner alongside nurssa.

Now

Running Strength SMP

The server now runs on a Strength SMP ruleset, with a growing spawn, a proper community — and a wall at spawn that keeps score of who's misbehaved.

Rules

Short version: don't ruin it for everyone else.

General conduct

Be kind and respect others
English only, please
No racial slurs, except in voice chat
No advertising
No impersonating other players or staff
No logging into other players' accounts
No being sad
Follow Minecraft's Community Standards

Fair play

No cheating, hacking, or X-raying
No lagging the server
No glitch abusing
No attempting to find loopholes in the rules
No repeatedly killing the same player

Spawn & building

No griefing spawn or intentionally building over it
No pushing players out of spawn

Staff & everything else

No harassing staff, and please don't @ staff directly
Don't ask for roles unless applications are open
If you die from your own technical issues, don't ask for your items back
Totem counter and health indicator mods are allowed
Punishments are decided by staff based on the situation
